Objectives

• The participants learn basic practical tools for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
• The course highlights the specific elements of the Spanish language that pose the greatest problems to students of Spanish.
• The course highlights the practice of processing of instruments and techniques for teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
  

Content

Workshops directed towards teaching Spanish as a foreign language:

• Grammar for foreigners :
  - Specific problems in the Spanish language.
  
  
• Spanish culture
  - Introduction to the cultural content of the lessons Spanish as a foreign language.
  - Increasing fluency in Spanish through the discussion of Spanish festivities and ceremonies.
  
  
• Spoken Spanish:
  - Phonetics and accent.
  - Differing aspects of Spanish: Spanish in Spain/ Spanish in South-America
  - Colloquial speech
  - Introduction to rhetorical expression.
  - Listening comprehension.
  
  
• Material for teaching Spanish as a foreign language:
  - Use of material
  - Adjustment of material to the level of the student
  - Development of own material
  - Handbooks
  - Electronic resources

Targetgroup

1. Teachers of Spanish for foreigners who are wishing to extend their training
2. Graduates or students of second cycle of Philology
3. Other groups that wish to focus their training for teaching  Spanish to foreigners

Requirements

Foreign participants must have a knowledge of Spanish, at least level B2 for the proper use of the course.

Total number of hours in each edition: 45

Hours

Morning: workshops, from 9:30 to 14:00
Evenings: actual classes, from 16:00 to 19:30

Registration fee

The course fee is € 365

Accreditation

Attendance is compulsory and absences, regardless of cause, shall not exceed 10% of the total.

Students receive a certificate certifying their participation in the course.
