What types of accommodation are offered by Costa de Valencia?

What are the prices of the accommodations that are offered by Costa de Valencia?

From when is the accommodation in the school’s flats available for me?
The apartments are available from 17.00h on the Sunday before your course begins until 11.00h on the Saturday after your course has finished. It is possible to enter or leave the accommodation earlier or later but the student must inform the school with sufficient prior notice if this is the case

The accommodation in the school’s flats is equipped with everything?
Each flat is normally occupied by 4 or 5 students. The students share the communal areas of the flat which are the dining room, the kitchen and the bathroom. This type of accommodation includes a cleaning service whereby all communal areas of the flat will be cleaned. However, the student is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of their own bedroom.

All of our flats are situated in the surrounding areas of the school (10 minutes walk maximum) and are perfectly equipped for students to use during their time at the school. In each of them, the student can choose between a single or double room..

What types of activities are organized by Costa de Valencia?
At Costa de Valencia, School of Spanish we do not agree with the idea that learning Spanish is solely confined to being able to speak and understand, but that it should also include learning about the culture and lifestyle of modern Spanish society. For this reason, we give great importance to the socio-cultural and free time activities carefully organised daily for our students.

In agreement with our slogan “Come, learn Spanish…and live it!”, we hope that our students get to know and participate in the day to day life of the city and feel more like a Valencian.

How can I participate in one of the activities and what are the prices?
Each Friday we put up the activities for the coming week. If you would like to keep up to date with the extra curricular activities, you can find them at our Weekly programme of socio-cultural, sport and leisure activities. If a student wishes to participate in any of them, all he/she has to do is put their name on the sheet that he/she will find in the school. It is free to participate in the activities; the only thing that students will need to pay for is what they consume, for example their cinema ticket or any food or drinks they buy

As there is a large number of car rental services with various offer of cars we recommend to go directly to the car rental services or to visit their homepages in order to get information. Usually there are special offers for the weekends; for this reason it is advisable to book as early as possible in advance. The conditions for the booking are in general: you have to be at least 21 years old and you need to have a driving license that is valid in whole Europe as well as a credit card. Normally latter is required for the insurance but sometimes also cash payment is possible (please ask the respective rental service).

What is Albufera?
If you need some hours of recreation we recommend going for a walk through the ‘Albufera’ and the little villages in the neighbourhood. We are sure that you will like this trip.
The Nature Park Albufera is situated about 11 km in the south of Valencia and is a paradise for birds of passage. In El Palmar you cannot only get information about the birds but also visit a breeding station (Racó d’Olla, Tel. 961627345 and 961610847). You can go by boat with the fishermen of the villages on the lake that has a diameter of about 6 km. You will pass dunes, pine forests and wonderful beaches (El Perelló, Les Palmeretes, El Saler, etc.). For many years people have cultivated rice, they have run cattle breeding and fishing in harmony with the nature. www.albufera.com
Rice is the only profit for the inhabitants. Paella in its different varieties – with fish, vegetables, etc. - is the typical dish in this region. There are many restaurants where you can enjoy excellent paella and fish.
There is a daily bus company connecting Valencia to the Albufera. You can combine the visit of the Nature Park with a stay at the marvelous beach of El Saler.
Another possibility to visit the park is to take the Albufera tourism bus: www.valenciabusturistic.com
